The third season of Saeed Soltani’s hit series ‘Setayesh’ is on the verge of completion.
The crew, which is currently putting the finishing touches on the final phases of post-production, has completed the editing phase and is currently going through the music and sound effects stages.
Produced by Arman Zarin, the 30-part series will most likely finish production within a month.
‘Setayesh’ is a story about a man named Taher who has just finished two years of military service, defending Iran against Saddam Hussein's war of aggression.
His friend, who has deserted the frontline, wants Taher to help smuggle him out of the country. Despite his better judgment, and at the insistence of his friend's sister, Setayesh, he agrees.
Taher and Setayesh eventually grow fond of each other and make plans to marry. But a tragedy causes a great gap between their families that threatens to keep the two from ever finding happiness together.
Written by Saeed Matlabi, the first two seasons of ‘Setayesh’ are set in early 1980s Iran with the story continuing until the present day.
The third season will be a prequel to the first and second seasons, focusing on the relationships between the characters of the first two seasons.
The series co-stars Mehdi Pakdel, Narges Mohammadi, Daryoush Arjmand, Gohar Kheirandish, Fariba Naderi, Mahmoud Azizi, Zahra Saeedi, Mehdi Solouki, and the late Jamshid Mashayekhi.
